Number of record seventy-four -
In the year one thousand eight eight hundred twenty-six, day thirty-one of the month of October at the hour of sixteen, before us Domenico Cappelli, mayor, and the officer of Vital Records of the town of Fratte, district of Gaeta, Province of Terra Di Lavoro, appeared Bernardo Garofalo, age forty-seven, occupation laborer, citizen living in this town on Piazza Street, and Gaetano Casatelli, age seventy-eight, occupation property owner, citizen living same, whom both have declared that on day thirty of the month of October in the current year, at hour twenty-two, died at his home, Nicola Guastaferro, age seventy-seven, husband of Orsola Aceto, born in this town of Fratte, occupation shoemaker, living same on Piazza Street, son of ,the late Francesco Guastaferro and of the late Cattarina Zangrillo.
According to the law we travelled together with these witnesses to the house of the deceased person and we have witnessed his effective death, we have then created the present act, that we have written above two copies, we have
read it to the informants on the day, month and year above signed by us but not by the informants who have stated that they don't know how to write. Domenico Cappelli Giuseppe Ratti, clerk

Gaetana Guastaferro's death was recorded in the town of Ausonia, District of Gaeta, Province of Terra di Lavoro (now Ausonia, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy) on 17 Apr 1865 during the 23rd hour, when Giovanni Alberico, age 40, of the occupation peasant farmer, residing in this town on Strada Manache and Gaetano Basciotta, age 46, of the occupation peasant farmer, residing same, appeared before us, Giovanni de Angelis, mayor, and Giuseppe Ratti, vital records clerk, and declared that on 16 Apr 1865 during the 24th hour, died in her house, Gaetana Guastaferro, age 71 years, of the occupation peasant farmer, born and living in this town, widow of Francesco de Simone, daughter of the late Nicola Guastaferro and the late Orsola Aceto. We travelled together with these witnesses near the deceased person and we have witnessed her effective death, we have then created the present act, that we have read to the informants and signed by us, but not the informants who stated that they did not know how to write. Gaetana's death was the 13th reorded in Ausonia in 1865.
